Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 2001 with an intake of 60 B.Tech students, subsequently got increase in intake to 120 students in the year 2004 and 180 students in the year 2012.Also got the approval for M.Tech in DE&CS, VLSI with intake of 18 students in each course in year 2007 & 2009 respectively. Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is one of the largest and fastest-growing field of Engineering. It provides comprehensive knowledge of conventional topics like Embedded System & Design, Electronics Circuits & Design, Communication Systems, VLSI Design, and more advanced topics like the Internet of Things, Wireless Sensors etc.
The aim of the department is to carry out advanced research and development in various areas of Electronics & Communication Engineering with different application domains and to train and educate, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Engineers of outstanding ability who can become innovators and new product creators.
To impart technical education with latest art of technology with scope for research and development, and groom the students with entrepreneurial and leadership skill to suit the challenging needs of Industry and Society.
M1: Provide contemporary technical education programs, in the field of ECE, and prepare for competitive employment, higher studies and entrepreneurial requirements.
M2: Provide comprehensive in depth knowledge with research orientation which are important and relevant to industry, society, environment and global needs.
M3: Organize specific programs to inculcate values and ethical practices to the students through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
