The Aeronautical Engineering Department came into existence at this Institute during the year 2011.Presently,the Institute offers only the undergraduate programme i.e. B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering . Aeronautical Engg is an advanced, multidisciplinary branch of engineering that encompasses technologies from mechanical engg,civil engg, metallurgical engg ,electrical engg,electronics and telecommunications engg ,computer science and engg, material science ,pure sciences etc. In a broader sense it is widely referred as ‘ Aerospace engineering’ as it includes not just the aircraft technology but also the missile systems, space vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, space ships,aerostats,satellite systems etc.
