Dr. P. Prashanth Kumar, Professor, Head of the Department of Humanities and Sciences. He completed his M. Sc. (TECH) Mathematics from JNTUH, Hyderabad, Telangana. He obtained Ph. D in “Operational Research and its applications to health care administration” from Meerut University, Meerut, U.P. He has 16+ years of experience (7+ years after Ph. D) in the field of teaching and research in Mathematics/Statistics and specialized in Optimization Techniques, Operations Research and Multivariate Techniques. He has to his credit 10 research publications in National and International Journals. He has given more than 10 Presentations both in India and Abroad. He has 4 years of International Experience in teaching and research. He delivered an Invited talk on ‘Goal Programming and Its Applications’ in the national conference on ‘Analysis and Applications of Mathematics’ (NCAAM-2013) at Reva Institute of Technology and Management, Bangalore, India. Also delivered an Invited talk on ‘Mathematics-Operations Research’ in the students’ seminars, Hawassa University, Hawassa, ETHIOPIA. He designed Curriculum on ‘Operations Research Course’ for Hawassa University, Hawassa, Ethiopia and on ‘M.Sc Mathematics Curriculum’ for Jimma University, Ethiopia. He guided several ‘Academic Projects’ at Graduate and Post Graduate Level for both Jimma and Hawassa Universities, Ethiopia. He is an expertise in SAS and SPSS software packages. |
